Today on our 2017 Mazda CX9, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt Upgraded Circuit Protected Taillight with Converter Hardware Kit, part number 56146KIT. So here's what our wiring looks like fully installed. I do want to mention the bracket here is not included in our wiring kit. Our wiring is gonna give us a full pull flat and provide us all the necessary lights to get down the road safely and legally, such as our stop lights, taillights, and turn signals. Our wiring is a universal kit, so it is gonna fit several different vehicles. And there is gonna be some splicing and some cutting of wires that are gonna be involved. Our wiring is gonna stay on the outside of the vehicle at all times, and it is gonna live right here. And now that we see the end result, let's go and show you how we got it installed. Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 Mazda CX-9- Video

Today on this 2016 Mazda CX9, we're going to review and install the Curt upgraded circuit protected taillight with converter hardwire kit, part number 56146KIT. This is what it looks like once it's installed in the CX9. You can see we got plenty of extra length here, maybe about a foot to work with and we got our cap here holding it in place. Of course when you're ready to plug into your trailer, just go ahead and take the cap off, don't worry about going anywhere and plug right into your standard four pole. Let's go ahead and cover the parts that come with the kit. First off, this is our module right here. This module's designed to be spliced into existing wire harness. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 1999 Mazda Protege- Video

Today on our 1999 Mazda Protg, we'll be installing part number 119175KIT, the draw type four pole wiring kit. After opening the trunk on our Protg, we'll need to start by removing the threshold molding from the trunk. To do this we'll remove the clips here and here as well as--it's the same on the other side. A small screw driver works great for these. Now that we have our clips out, we can go ahead and use our panel tool to reach underneath the threshold and pry up. We'll work all the way across the threshold, making sure to get us close to the clips as possible and once they have all been released, we can go ahead and remove the threshold for re-installation later. more
